About This Course

In partnership with Model Teaching, an industry leader in supporting educators, you will learn about the definition of a drop-out, early warning indicators for children at risk of dropping out, and the root causes of those indicators. Model Teaching's Mission is to improve student performance by directly supporting teachers with quality content and resources. You will be taught various strategies to support your students using the REACH OUT Method, a helpful tool teachers can use to ensure they are providing the right support to their students as a safety net within their classroom and place them on a path to success.

In this course, you will:

  • Define and understand the term "drop-out" and the most recent drop-out statistics in the U.S.
  • Compare three defining indicators of future drop-out status
  • Evaluate the early warning signs of at-risk students
  • Plan to select specific strategies to support students as they face these struggles
