About This Course

College Admissions Officers play a key role in a counselor’s understanding of their respective colleges. This course will teach you how to build effective relationships with an admissions representative, and how to make the most of that meaningful relationship. You will gain insight into what an admissions officer’s job is, and what they tend to look for in an applicant to better support your students’ efforts in the college admissions process. This course is part of the College Counseling series.

In this course, you will:

  • Comprehend the key elements of an effective relationship with a College Admissions Officer,
  • Analyze your current college counseling curriculum to determine how to effectively involve College Admissions Officers in your program,
  • Conduct an interview with a real College Admissions Officer, and
  • Plan a new program for your school utilizing the resources of a College Admissions Officer.
